Hey, anybody out there who's an Alice fan? I'm sure I'm one of them! I've read the two Alice books:

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and
Through the Looking-Glass (And What Alice Found There)

Seriously though, let me ramble a little! I loved the two books. Like, A LOT! I read Wonderland twice.

Lemme tell you a little about the characters and some stuff about my own Alice renditions.

Let's start off with some common misconceptions:

:bulletpurple: Hatter is not a lovable dork.
:bulletwhite: Contrary to popular belief, THE TWEEDLE TWINS ARE NOT FROM WONDERLAND. They are from the Looking-Glass World.
:bulletpurple: THE RED QUEEN AND THE QUEEN OF HEARTS ARE NOT THE SAME, THEY ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT CHARACTERS.
:bulletwhite: White Rabbit isn't as "nice" as he may seem.
:bulletpurple: The King is dominated over the Queen, but he's not as exaggeratedly disrespected by the characters. The people actually prefer him over the Queen.

And now, the characters:

:bulletpink: Alice
Alice is just as depicted in the movies; a strong heroine who won't take no for an answer. She's polite as she is strong, and unlike the 50's Disney movie, I don't think she'd cry out of panic so easily. But maybe? Since she IS less than 10 years old in the books, if I recall correctly.

My Alice is Alie, and why I decided to turn him into a guy is well... honestly speaking I just felt like it. It's why no matter how disoriented he seems in the worlds, no matter how weak and kind he may look, he's actually strong deep inside.

Age: 17-19
Height: 5ft-5'3"

:bulletpink: White Rabbit
The White Rabbit is quite panicky as depicted in most media, but not as exaggeratedly wimpy like the classic 50's Disney. Like a rabbit, he's a nervous tic, but he's actually more daring than he's usually depicted. See, in the movies he was said that he didn't like burning down his house. In the book, he *SPOILERS* ACTUALLY SUGGESTED IT HIMSELF. He actually volunteered to burn his own house down to get the "monster" out.

This is why my White Rabbit is the obligatory hot but ice-cold bishounen with white hair a stoic, taciturn character. He actually uses it to hide his inner rabbit.

Age: 24-26
Height: 5'8" or above

:bulletpink: Cheshire Cat
Yeaaaah he's pretty much the cunning cat as depicted in the media. He's somewhat accurate compared to most characters, actually. Not much rambles here. He's still a jerk, scaring the King and Queen and causing a ruckus! Unlike the movies though, he openly showed himself to the Heart royalty and stirred an argument among the people.

This is why my Cheshire is a Cheshire Cat~ pretty much he's the cunning character who looks lax and takes it easy but you can never trap him with his own words. He would outsmart you first.
Tentative:
Name: Cheshire (duh)
Age: ???
Height: more or less 5'7"

:bulletpink: Hatter
OH GOODNESS HERE IT COMES
HATTER IS NOWHERE NEAR WHAT THE MEDIA REPRESENTS. IN FACT, HE IS ONE OF THE MOST HATTABLE HATEABLE OR WHATEVER HOW YOU SPELL THAT
NOT REALLY HATABLE BUT goodness, don't believe what the media tells you. He's no lovable dork as presented in the 50's movie, he's not a dream boat like the 2010 movie, and I have no idea how he gets shipped with Alice so much besides the fact he's the most human character in the books (no offence okay, go ship whatever you want)
But seriously, he's a JERK in the books. I quote, Alice says "really now, I don't think..." then Hatter butts in and says "then you shouldn't talk."
Freakin jerk. Oh, and in the book he's not called the "Mad Hatter". They just named him like that probably to emphasise that the Hatter's mad. It was said that hatters go mad because of the mercury content of making hats... sad.

But that doesn't mean my Hatter wouldn't have any depth. Honestly speaking, I found him to be one of the most interesting characters to develop in my rendition.

Name: France, Francis, William, maybe even Godfrey??
Age: 25-29
Height: 5'7" or above

:bulletpink: March Hare and Dormouse
The rodents get a shared topic because they're not as major as the Hatter is lol. Actually the Mad Tea Party ONLY APPEARS ONCE. JUST ONCE. And everybody loves them, whereas the Gryphon and the Mock Turtle appear in two chapters and hardly anybody knows them. FOR SHAME. Anyway, these two are pretty much fine in the media and in the book. The only thing that changed pretty much is that they, like the Hatter, are much ruder in the books. They aren't really all that lovable as many people think they may be.

March and Dormouse are Hatter's friends... why he loves rodents, we can't be too sure. March is the best friend of Hatter while Dormouse is their sweet punchbag/stress ball who doesn't mind it much since he sleeps through most stuff.

MARCH HARE
> Name: Martius
> Height: 5'2"-5'4"
> Age: 20-22
DORMOUSE
> Name: Charles (??? idk about this, thought it on the spot)
> Height: 5ft or less
> Age: 14-18

:bulletpink: King and Queen of Hearts
Goodness. Don't go referencing the Red Guy on me because I just wanted to put these two together. In any case, the King is basically the more lovable of the two although he's not really all that super nice. But he pardons those who the Queen was supposed to execute so... yeah, he's pretty okay. The Queen AYYY. Don't confuse her with the Red Queen. Here's something to remember: The Queen of Hearts is part of a DECK OF CARDS. The Red Queen is a CHESS PIECE. Unlike what media usually portrays, they are not the same person. The Queen of Hearts is ruthless with uncontrollable temper, not even giving seconds thoughts about it. The Red Queen isn't evil like Hearts; she's just really strict. Think headmistress strict, she always tells you to be mindful of your manners.

(King has two initial designs)
These two are... just wow, it's different from any couple I've made. I honestly feel sorry for the King. Let me just say he's mistreated.

KING OF HEARTS
> Name: Valentino
> Height: more or less 5'5"
> Age: 24-26
QUEEN OF HEARTS
> Name: Victoria
> Height: about 5'7"-5'8" without heels
> Age: 27-28

:bulletpink: Gryphon
He appeared in the Wonderland book TWICE, and yet hardly anyone knows about him compared to the Mad Tea Party trio and I'm kinda disappointed. I only knew about him after reading the books, really... I love Gryphon. He has a schoolmate, the Mock Turtle, and apparently he's somehow affiliated with the Heart royalty. In the book, he looks like he doesn't really care much about things.

I LOVED DEVELOPING HIM BECAUSE HE HAS THE MOST INTERESTING STORY SINCE HE'S LINKED WITH THE HEART ROYALTY AND JUST OMG I LOVE HIM AND HIS BEAUTIFUL WINGS AND ABS AND ayyy I'm sorry. Probably he has that same charm that my stellar husband Sirius has that he has got to be my fav character to develop along with Hatter and Mock Turtle. Let me just say his most prevalent characteristic in my rendition is his loyalty and protectiveness. And if you have to ask, he's the tsundere around here. Not Hatter.
Tentative
Name: Griffin, or something
Height: 5'11" or above
Age: 700+

:bulletpink: Mock Turtle
The Mock Turtle basically weeps about his very existence, crying about the days he missed being a real turtle, but now turned into that abomination with a cow's head, feet, and tail. That is actually because a mock turtle soup is made of those parts. He seems to be very melancholy and sad, but looks like the one with a short temper when he sees something stupid in anything, I guess. He is Gryphon's schoolmate back in the day.

HE'S MY BABY <3 ever since I decided to develop him, gosh he's such a cutie I want to hug him so much. Yes, he can still be a she-dog but he's a sweet cinnamon bun to people he likes. Oh, and his name has got to be my favourite.
Tentative
Name: Mariano Testudo
Height: 5'2"-5'5"
Age: 100+, almost 200

:bulletpink: Unicorn
Now I'm not too familiar with the character save for the fact that he fights with the Lion. Unlike the others mentioned above, he appeared in the second book; Through the Looking-Glass. He's actually illustrated to look like a politician back when the book was written, but I'm not sure who. That and he seems to be the sharper one between him and the Lion; Lion appears to be older and/or slower, but strong!

Why did I make him fabulous? Because unicorns ARE fabulous. My little titanium unicorn~ in my rendition, he's smarter than strong and so though the Lion is stronger, he actually outsmarts him half of the time.
Tentative
Height: 5'6"-5'7" (without heels)
Age: ???

And that's about the characters I put up here, either in gallery or Sta.sh that I'm fine sharing.

Now, look at these LOVELY Alice songs by Meinhard! I think he captured the dark yet elegantly creepy atmosphere of the books. Here are some songs you may like; don't forget to check out some of his stuff more!

The first song I heard from him was probably the Mock Turtle song since I was looking for a theme song for Mock Turtle. At first I wasn't too interested but... goodness after I listened to it I can't stop singing it and I'm like "oh what the heck I love it better listen to the other songs"

They just grew on me. I love these Alice songs <3 though, I think for my Alice series they have different theme songs. Meinhard's songs are probably not their main theme; maybe a secondary theme or a situational theme for the characters? Hehe. Well, I hope you like the songs and the descriptions!

Admittedly, I hate the books and the movies, but I like your character designs. They're cute!

I always did feel a bit bad for the King of Hearts, though.
